Hey team. For this mash up I was heading in a completely different direction than where I ended up. Originally I wanted to mash the Mario Brothers with the Bushwhackers. Remember them? Those all American slobbery, fist pumping, clothes lining, wrastlin’ rock stars. Came up with a few sketches.
I was happy with them but not super excited. I sat down to get started, put my pencil to the paper and said, “F this I want to draw an Andre-Bowser. And that’s just how it happens sometimes. So I did a couple thumbnails, got some good reference, and got to work.
And that’s how you turn Andre the Giant into Bowser. Thanks for voting and contributing everyone and get excited for Captain America/ Rocketeer!!
This is so cool! It seems like a wrestling trading card or something. I’m not even sure if wrestling had trading cards. A Mario illustration would make a nice companion piece!

I kept thinking “what is he looking at” so naturally my mind filled in Mario with his back to Andre-Bowser looking over his shoulder as well, like shit is about to go down! A redo companion piece would be pretty cool, just saying.
